Specialized Bodywork - TMJ

TMJ Massage is a clinically-focused treatment for people affected by stiffness in the jaw, pain in the head/neck/ear, and/or jaw clicking and clenching. Muscles that affect the temporomandibular joint (TMJ) are manipulated and massaged from outside and inside the mouth during the session. A 45 minute session allows time for additional work on postural muscles that contribute to the function of the jaw. These may include muscles of the face, neck, shoulders, and/or upper back. Clients often report a greater feeling of spaciousness inside the jaw, less tension and grinding, and increased range of motion and jaw function.
